Soon....

Today is Saturday, August 18th which means that in a short amount of time, I will be on a jet plane from Detroit-Metro Airport, heading to Chicago O'hare Airport where I will wait 3 hours, board another plane to Dublin, Ireland where I will wait another 3 hours; then board another plane and head to Paris where I will proceed to wait for 7 hours where I will get on yet another plane and head to my final destination: Clermont-Ferrand. That's 13 hours of just layovers at the airports...If there is NO delays!!!

However, I am still extremely excited about going to France for 6 months. I mean when else in one's life can they just take off for 6 months to Europe? Granted I have some responsibilities of class and whatnot but I'm in a different country on a different Continent.... Wow. Anyways, I plan on doing as much traveling as possible once I am there. Here are some of the places/events I plan on making it to.

Oktoberfest
New Years/Christmas in Paris
Ireland
England
Amsterdam
Germany
Hungary (Budapest)
Czech Republic (Prague)
Italy (Rome, Florence and Naples)
Normandy
Versailles
Chartres
Rouen (Joan of Arc Memorial)
and plenty of other places I'm sure I'll hear about or find out about between now and then.

So, if anyone has suggestions or tips, let me know I'd love to read ideas.
